Welcome to the Comox Valley!
Located on Vancouver Island, The Comox Valley is a land of adventure with something for everyone! Year-round recreation provides something for absolutely everyone. Skiing, swimming, golfing, hiking, bicycling, rock-climbing, kayaking- the list goes on and on.
Thinking you may retire here? The Valley offers many services and accommodations for our senior community. These include Handidart, Lifeline, Elder College, and many others. Housing includes independent, semi-independent, or fully dependent, depending on your circumstances.
Educational facilities include many primary, elementary, and secondary schools. We are also lucky enough to be able to boast about our post-secondary choices here, such as North Island College, Excel Career College and Sprott Shaw Community College.
We have a variety of museums and many cultural events take place throughout the year- Filberg Festival, North Island Jazz Festival, Comox Valley Airshow at CFB Comox, and Musicfest are just a few that come to mind.
All of this, coupled with our beautiful weather- mild, short winters and warm dry summers- make this the Jewel of Vancouver Island. It really is one of the best places to live and bring up a family. I can’t even begin to list all of the highlights but I hope I have given you an idea of some. For more information you can visit the Comox Valley's Official site on my Links page.
